Here is demo from recording from a "bad space", rooms you would not usually record in! This is a 6 piece band in a 12 square foot room. This was an 12 track recording dropped directly to two track stereo. Even in least than ideal spaces, we can get results for you. This was recorded in one pass, no overdubs.
So what can you do when you are far from home and still want to record? Here is a song that I recorded in the livingroom of my condo in Honolulu. One mic (AKG414) and a bunch of talent. Muisc is compliments of Jana Walden (and of course Bob Marley!). I provided some backing guitar on this.
